On the next pages I have placed some pictures of Alec's possesions he had with him over the 20+ years he was with BP.

This was my great-grandfathers portable radio it is a Vidor CN351 "Riviera" from 1946 he bought this radio at the tail end of his service with BP in Abadan.

This was Alec's dry shaver it is a non electric model which derives speed for the cutters by means of squeezing the handle, This shaver was bought in the late thirties, about 1938 I think.

Bijou Model 6 Portable Typewriter

This was Alec's typewriter, I can imagine him sitting at his desk typing out the captions for the previous sets of photographs.
